Dancing on a Cloud
Low-lying fog for the first dance — and the two practical notes that keep it from becoming a slip hazard.
Low-lying fog across the dance floor — the "dancing on a cloud" effect — is a wedding staple that earns its keep at first dances and grand entrances, and it transfers well to any event that wants a theatrical beat.
Two practical notes from people who have run it. Book a machine that uses dry ice or chilled fog, so the cloud stays at ankle height instead of drifting up like a smoke machine. And plan for the floor: condensation makes some surfaces slick, so give the effect its moment, then clear it before open dancing starts.
