Conferences are long, and the pressure to connect with as many people as possible makes awkward moments almost inevitable.

One small fix: lead with "It's good to see you" rather than "It's nice to meet you." It quietly acknowledges that you might have crossed paths before, so you're covered if they remember a previous conversation you've forgotten, or vice versa.

It's a tiny phrasing change that takes the pressure off both of you and keeps every introduction warm.
